Joe Biden’s official golf handicap as Donald Trump mocks president over swing leaving debate viewers baffled

Trump stated that he was “happy to have a driving contest,” with Biden, after doubting the current president’s golfing ability.
The men briefly ditched their questions about the economy and immigration to take digs at each other.
This bizarre topic started when both men were asked about their age, which has been a topic of concern for many voters.
Trump, 78, claimed he had passed two cognitive tests and bragged about his apparent two non-senior club championship wins.
“To do that you have to be quite smart and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way and I do it,” Trump said.
The former president then claimed Biden would not be able to hit a golf ball fifty yards.
Biden, 81, hit back at Trump and commented on his weight and height.
The present then said he would be happy to have a driving contest with Trump.
Biden then boasted about having a handicap of six in golf, which Trump appeared to laugh at.
A handicap is the number of strokes a golfer is expected to take above or below the course’s par score.
“I told you before I am happy to play golf with you if you carry your own bag,” Biden said.
“Think you can do it?”
Trump then claimed Biden was lying about his handicap.
“I’ve seen your swing, I know your swing,” Trump remarked.
Expert Analysis - Impact of the debate
Measuring the Impact of the debate with an expert:
Southern Illinois University Associate Professor of Political Science Ken Mulligan told The U.S. Sun the “election is effectively tied; it’s closer than any presidential election in decades.”
However, he believes that Trump now has the “momentum and advantage.”
He believes that although presidential debates usually don’t have a huge impact on election results, this one could affect voter turnout, as Biden and Trump both are historically unpopular.
And while Trump is still “the most unpredictable candidate ever,'” Mulligan thinks that Thursday night’s debate could feature fewer personal attacks than past bouts.
“Trump is now a convicted felon,” he added.
“But I don’t see that as necessarily being a huge problem for him, because most Republicans think these charges were politically motivated.”
The unexpected and surprising debate ended shortly after when Trump said “Let’s not act like children.”
This debate has been the first official one of the 2024 election cycle.
One of the main takeaways from the clash was viewers’ reignited concerns over Biden’s age and health, The U.S. Sun previously reported.
The current president had several moments where he stumbled through responses and appeared to freeze on stage.
Several high-profile Democrats and historically pro-Biden voices also shared their concerns about the president’s performance last night.
A Former adviser to former President Barack Obama, David Axelrod, was one of these voices.
“I think there was a sense of shock, actually, of how he came out at the beginning of this debate, how his voice sounded,” he said.
“He seemed a little disoriented. He did get stronger as the debate went on but by that time, I think the panic had set in,” he added.
Despite these conversations, on and off the stage, Biden hit back at Trump over age jabs on the night.
“This guy’s three years younger and a lot less competent,” Biden said.
