Top 2025 women’s basketball recruit Aliyahna Morris working on narrowing down list

Aliyahna “Puff” Morris, a top recruit in the Class of 2025, is in the process of narrowing down her list of finalists, but she’s still open to talking with new programs, she told On3.
“I don’t know if I’m totally open,” Morris said. “It’ll depend on the school. I’m trying to narrow down [my final list] now and hopefully, I can commit by the end of September.”
The 5-foot-5 point guard from Rancho Cucamonga (California) Etiwanda High School has offers from plenty of high-profile schools nationally. But she said there are a few particular factors she’s seeking in a landing spot.
A good connection with the coaching staff, a nice area and a good education will be key in Aliyahna Morris’ final decision for a landing spot – and there are several schools that have caught her eye so far.
Aliyahna Morris told On3 that the schools she’s in contact with the most include Duke, Yale, Cal, Harvard and Illinois, but she also has offers from schools like Mississippi, USC and UCF.
“I plan to take three visits,” Morris said. “I’ll take two visits in August and one in September.”
Those three visits over the course of August and September will be to Duke, Yale and Cal. The highly-touted recruit told On3 that she hopes to narrow her final list following her visits in the fall.
Aliyahna Morris plays for the Cal Sparks on the Nike EYBL circuit. The point guard has averaged 15.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, four assists and 2.1 steals this spring and summer for the Sparks.
She has also been recognized as the California freshman, sophomore and junior of the year by Cal Hi Sports. In her junior season for Etiwanda, she averaged 16.1 points, 5.4 assists, 3.2 rebounds and 2.8 steals.
