Nobody Wants This, which premiered on September 6, features the unlikely relationship between a podcaster, Joanne, played by Kristen Bell, and a rabbi, Noah, played by Adam Brody. The series debuted on Netflix's global TV charts in second place with 10.3 million views. Created by Erin Foster, the show is actually inspired by her own romance with her husband Simon Tikhman. Their parents are the songwriter David Foster and model Rebecca Dyer. Erin's stepmother is singer Katharine McPhee, who is two years younger than her. Erin and Simon didn't meet at a party like Joanne and Noah in the show, but at a gym in Los Angeles. Bell's Joanne, who is agnostic, begins to seriously consider converting to Judaism for Noah, who is aiming to be head of his synagogue.
