Disney Plus Schedule July 8-14 2024: New TV Shows & Movies Being Added

Disney Plus’s new TV and movie releases for July 8-14 2024 include a new episode of Star Wars: The Acolyte and Descendants: The Rise of Red.
On July 9, a new episode of Star Wars: The Acolyte drops on Disney Plus. This installment of the Star Wars franchise is set roughly 100 years before the events of the Skywalker Saga, during the later years of the High Republic Era. The story follows a highly-venerated Jedi master reuniting with his former Padawan when they both start investigating a series of Jedi murders that all connect to the Padawan. The series features the talents of Lee Jung-jae, Amandla Stenberg, Manny Jacinto, Charlie Barnett, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Rebecca Henderson, among others.
Then on July 11, Descendants: The Rise of Red hits Disney Plus. This is the fourth film in the Descendants franchise. The story follows former Villain Kid Uma, now headmaster of Auradon Prep, who sends an invitation to Red, the daughter of Wonderland’s tyrannical Queen of Hearts who holds a grudge against the school and Cinderella, in particular. When the Queen of Hearts instigates a coup at Auradon, Red and Cinderella’s daughter Chloe, join forces and time travel to the past to undo the Queen of Hearts’ descent into villainy.
Also releasing on Disney Plus this week are the Sing-Along versions of the first three Descendants films.
