Diamond Dawgs in Summer League Baseball Update: July 19...

Shortly after the final out was recorded that ended Mississippi State’s season in Charlottesville, Va., the Diamond Dawgs went back to work.
Several of the roster players from this year’s Regional squad are now working to get the Bulldogs back in contention in 2025. As players get settled in their summer league homes, we’ll be following their journey throughout the summer and seeing exactly how they’re progressing in their respective leagues.
This past week, Stone Simmons extended himself to a summer-best 5.0 innings in his start and gave up just two hits and no runs with seven strikeouts. Ace Rees had 10 hits in seven games with four doubles and his first home run of the summer. Nolan Stevens stayed red hot with two doubles and two home runs while Ethan Pulliam, Gehrig Frei and Jackson Owen hit home runs of their own.
