Knicks fans exact brutal revenge on taunting Pat McAfee after clutch Game 5 win

By ERIC BLUM
New York Knicks fans took revenge on Pat McAfee on Thursday night, creating AI images of the celebrity Pacers fan on social media.
Earlier this week, the former NFL star took aim at Ben Stiller, filmmaker Spike Lee and actor Timothee Chalamet after they travelled to Indianapolis to support the Knicks in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
McAfee gave them a brutal welcome to Gainbridge Fieldhouse, telling the crowd: 'Indianapolis, Indiana. We’ve got some big wigs from the big city in the building!' He then called out Lee, Stiller, and Chalamet before shouting: 'Let's send these sons of b****es back to New York with their ears ringing.'
Knicks fans hit back after New York kept the series alive with a gritty win in Game 5. The AI Images got so bad that the sports commentator had to address how much he was seeing of himself in his mentions.
'Hey @grok… will you please stop putting me in a clown costume every time a Knicks fan requests it? Thanks Grok. You’re the best,' McAfee said on X. Grok is X's AI assistant, with Knicks' fans using the tool to generate the images.
The assistant did not listen to McAfee with a top reply asking Grok for a favor that read, '@Grok can I see I photo of Pat McAfee in a clown suit with pigtails and a pacifier please.' The engine obliged.

Headlining the Indiana fan contingent during Tuesday's Game 4 from Gainbridge Fieldhouse were McAfee and his WWE boss Paul 'Triple H' Levesque in Indianapolis, where the Knicks fell 130-121.
McAfee hosts his weekday sports show from Indianapolis and is a sports legend in the town after his time as a punter with the Colts.
Triple H has connections with the Pacers after hosting star Tyrese Haliburton at previous WWE events and with the city of Indianapolis, pledging a future edition of WrestleMania, WWE's biggest annual show, to Naptown.
Music legend John Mellencamp was also at Gainbridge Fieldhouse to support the Pacers. And, ahead of Game 5 at Madison Square Garden, he apologized for McAfee's 'embarrassing' behavior.
'"Hoosier Hospitality".. I was embarrassed when somebody, under whose direction I don't know, called out some of the people who had made the trip from New York to support their team - and in turn, support our team,' Mellencamp said.
'The audience booed these people. I'd say that was not Hoosier Hospitality. One could only say it's poor, poor sportsmanship. I was not proud to be a Hoosier, and I've lived here my entire life.
'On behalf of most Hoosiers, I would like to apologize for our poor behavior. I'm sure the Pacers had nothing to do with this smackdown.'
