Cherry Blossom Events Planned In Alexandria As Peak Bloom Approaches
ALEXANDRIA, VA — Whether you plan to head to the Tidal Basin to see the cherry blossom trees at their peak or want to avoid the crowds, there are events for everyone coming up.The National Park Service already announced the anticipated peak bloom will happen from March 28 to 31. That falls within the National Cherry Blossom Festival from March 20 to April 13, with ongoing and special events drawing visitors to Washington, D.C. Alexandria will get in on the cherry blossom fun, too. There will be cruises and bike rides to the cherry blossoms along with other cherry blossom-themed experiences.Here are the cherry blossom activities planned in Alexandria:Fleeting: An Exhibition of Artists from Torpedo Factory Art Center Celebrating Cherry Blossoms: Feb. 15 to April 27This exhibit at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center is a part of the National Cherry Blossom Festival.
