Judi James’ brutal takedown of Meghan Markle’s Netflix show – ‘dystopian nightmare’, bizarre sexual theme & royal dig
THE Duchess of Sussex’s, With Love, Meghan cookery show has received mixed opinions since airing on Netflix yesterday, and now body language expert judi James has shared her thoughts.
The 43-year-old stars in eight 33-minute episodes sharing recipes with friends, tips on hosting and getting emotional over bees.

But the mum-of-two has been slammed for being ‘fake’ in the show and ‘ripping off’ recipes, and now celebrity body language expert Judy James has weighed in.
Judi blasted the show as a ‘dystopian nightmare’ filled with bizarre sexual themes and even a dig at the royal family.
“Meghan’s show should be renamed ‘LOVE ME – MEGHAN’ as the overriding visual narrative looks set on showcasing the adorability and undiluted sweetness of the Duchess of Sussex,” she said.
Feminist Nightmare
Blasting the show as unrealistic for modern women, Judi added that Meghan Markle’s time spent in the kitchen while Prince Harry goes off to events is a setback.
“Meghan’s unreality show is also a dystopian nightmare for feminists, a glimpse of how women might have looked had we never got the vote and been consigned to a Jane Austen world of sprigged cotton and flower arranging, where survival meant marrying rich and entertaining the locals,” she continued.
“Harry’s Polo series looked like the Jilly Cooper macho-world alternative. Thanks to Meghan, we now know what the wives do while the men are off competing on horseback.”
As for Meghan’s ‘bubbly’ personality, Judy reveals the Duchess of Sussex is playing into old stereotypes of how the perfect woman should be.
“Meghan’s performance resurrects the word ‘bubbly’ that was once seen as the prime compliment for any woman in the workplace pre-Thatcher. Even cutting a raspberry in two for her children’s breakfast platter is seen in a ‘fun’ light.” she said.

Viewers of the show took to X, formerly known as Twitter, with a similar sentiment.
One penned on X: “I’m not even 30 seconds into the first episode and I already know that With Love, Meghan is the FAKESTEST stuff ever.”
Another added: “Six minutes of with love Meghan… ok only for richest people..so.. bye bye.”

Sex Signals
According to the body language expert, there are plenty of sexual themes in the show.
Judi explains: “There is a strong sexual theme to this series that projects from Meghan’s powerful use of her vocal tone.

“When it’s not bubbling like a brook, it becomes sexily husky and creaky. She sounds breathless at times and then, most sensual of all, she will dip to a whisper with a ‘yes’ or other intimate-sounding moments of shared appreciation.”

The Duchess of Sussex gave fans an insight into her show, With Love, Meghan, which airs soon.
There will be eight 33 minute episodes featuring a host of Meg’s various Hollywood friends trying her simple, yet “elevated”, food.
A montage of various clips in the nearly two-minute video showed Meghan walking through vegetable patches and fields.
She was also filmed browsing florists, hand-selecting beautiful flowers for table arrangements, showing off her creative side.
The Duchess even tried her hand at beekeeping, fully suited up, as she collected honey.
In the exciting new trailer, Meghan shared: “I’ve always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it.
“Surprising people with moments that let them know I was really thinking of them.
“I’m going to share some little tips and tricks. I see what colour I gravitate to, and everything goes from there. And how you incorporate these practices every day.
“This is about connecting with friends… I love that we’re doing this together for the first time. Making new friends… and just learning.
“We’re not in the pursuit of perfection. We’re in the pursuit of joy. I have to get it totally wrong, to get it totally right.”
The trailer showcased many “candid” moments, from Meghan accidentally squeezing some lemon juice in her eye, to knocking freshly baked goodies off a plate.
Prince Harry featured at the end of the video, embracing his wife in a warm hug.

Royal Dig
While the show is focused on Meghan’s new Montecito life with her ‘normal’ family, Judy says she can’t help but make a dig at the royal family.
“She can’t seem to avoid getting one hefty dig in about the misery of her royal life early in her series,” Judi told Casino.Org.
“Talking about her make-up artist ‘guest’ for Ep 1 Daniel, she momentarily pauses from the smiling and joy to add a big hint via a little non-verbal side-note of the path that she has taken to come here.”
“She tells the producer that Daniel has been her friend for 15 years. She then performs a series of three air-chopping and one swatting gesture to illustrate the chunks of her life timeline as she says ‘Before, During, and After’.
“She makes no specific reference to what she is referring in terms of pre-royal, royal and après-royal, but the inference is obvious from the coy glance, the puckered smile and the knowing eye gaze to the producer, which is like a ‘say no more’ tapping of the side of the nose.”
“Her smile dies and a cloud comes over her face at the memory of what she went through and she nods and looks down as she calls Daniel ‘a mainstay’ to remind everyone of the support she was in need of at that time.”
