Woman Detained for Damaging Train Cars at North Quincy MBTA Station, Faces Charges

A woman went on a rampage at the North Quincy MBTA station last night, smashing train car windows with a metal object, according to transit authorities. The incident, which took place at around 8:30 PM, caused significant damage before the Transit Police apprehended her.
Officers responded to the scene after reports of the woman actively destroying property, the MBTA Transit Police posted. They were able to locate and detain the subject, whom, they later determined was in need of psychological services. Charges of Malicious Destruction will be pursued against her.

The identity of the woman has not been released, and there were no immediate reports of injuries during the incident. The MBTA has not yet assessed the full cost of the damages to the train cars but is likely to be in the thousands given the extent of the vandalism.
