Beyond the Gates Premiere Week Ratings Report
CBS premiered the first new daytime drama in 25 years on Feb. 24, 2025, and naturally soap fans are curious — how did Beyond the Gates do in the ratings? Well, we’ve got some good news for you!
Nielsen data for that week shows that not only did BTG start strong, it also boosted the other two CBS soap, The Young & The Restless and The Bold & The Beautiful, Soap Opera Network reported. In addition, BTG ranked higher than its direct competitor, General Hospital, which airs in the same timeslot in most markets.
Among women 18-49, BTG ranked sixth among daytime shows with a .25 rating. For the same time period, GH had a .19 rating. Among women 25-54, BTG had a rating of .39 while GH pulled in a .28. BTG is also doing better than the previous show in its time slot, CBS chat show The Talk, which pulled in a .16 for women 19-49 and .25 with women 25-54 for this same week last year.

Of course, these ratings only include live and same-day viewing figures and do not include next-day or later DVR viewings or streaming. And with BTG also available to stream on CBS.com and Paramount+, there are likely plenty of people who went with those convenient options.
