The shooting took place in an apartment at the Dearborn View Apartments near Beech Daly and Cherry Hill roads. It happened around 12:30 a.m. on July 15. Additionally, a 2-year misdemeanor for the careless discharge of a weapon causing injury. "This is yet another case where, yet another child was shot inside a home where a gun was present," Kym Worthy said. "We have tried just about everything to try to stop this from happening. Adults failed this child." Worthy expressed in a statement obtained by The Detroit News.
Williams was arraigned on August 7, in the 22nd District Court in Inkster. He was given a $100,000 cash/surety bond. His next court date is set for August 21, as reported by WWJ Newsradio 950.
