Blue Lock Season 2 Starts in October 2024
The second season of Blue Lock is set to kick off later this year in October.

The first season of Blue Lock also premiered during the Fall anime season — it aired its first episode in October 2022, and ran for 24 episodes.
The Kodansha-published Blue Lock manga series is written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine. It began in August 2018 and has 28 volumes as of March 2024. Kodansha USA describes the premise as:
After a disastrous defeat at the 2018 World Cup, Japan’s team struggles to regroup. But what’s missing? An absolute Ace Striker, who can guide them to the win. The Football Association is hell-bent on creating a striker who hungers for goals and thirsts for victory, and who can be the decisive instrument in turning around a losing match…and to do so, they’ve gathered 300 of Japan’s best and brightest youth players. Who will emerge to lead the team…and will they be able to out-muscle and out-ego everyone who stands in their way?
Kaneshiro also wrote the Blue Lock -Episode Nagi- spin-off manga, which is drawn by Kota Sannomiya and has inspired an anime movie.
