Lemont Announces 2025 St. Patrick's Day Parade Queen, King
LEMONT, IL — The 2025 St. Patrick's Day Queen and King have been announced as Lemont's Kayla Anastasia Treanor and Jacob Markowski, according to a release from the Village. The Queen and King will reign over the St. Patrick's Day Parade at 1 p.m. on March 8 in downtown Lemont. Kayla is the 33rd reigning queen of the parade, and Jacob is the first king. Kayla, a senior at Lemont High School, is a leader who embodies the pillars of kindness, community and resilience, according to the Village. She is a dedicated member of the Ellie Strong Foundation, and also volunteers with special needs children, demonstrating her deep compassion and dedication to helping others.Jacob is a 2024 Lemont High School graduate and current student at the College of DuPage. He is a Student Ambassador and actively represents the college, fostering connections between students and staff, according to the Village. Outside of his studies, Jake is a dedicated volunteer, contributing his time to the Hope & Friendship Foundation and the Downers Grove Fire Department.On March 8, the parade route begins on the north end of Stephen Street, heads west onto Main Street, and ends at Lockport Street (VFW). After the parade, there will be a party on west Main Street, Legion Park (111 Main St.) and the Lemont VFW. The Stockyard Kilty Band will kick off the after party followed by the Irish Dancers at the gazebo in Legion Park, according to the Village.
