'Heartstopper' Season 3: Everything We Know So Far
Heartstopper creator Alice Oseman has confirmed she's writing the sixth and final graphic novel in her acclaimed series.
Oseman, who also serves as the main writer and executive producer on the Netflix adaptation, had previously announced the sixth volume will be the last one in the romantic saga of Nick and Charlie.
The author admitted finding working on the last-ever Heartstopper "a little bit scary," as she told People.

However, Oseman is also excited about what other endeavours lie ahead as her young adult series draws to a close.
"I am really looking forward to writing about adults," she said.
"That is something that I've just never had the opportunity to do... I'd love to try writing more for screen. I've really enjoyed writing the TV show and I would love to do more of that, whether that's something original or I would love to try adapting someone else's book. I think that could be really fun. It's all a mystery right now, so we'll see."

As for the Netflix show, Oseman previously shared that production on season three wrapped last December.
"We have a few more hours of our final day to get through, but I wanted to express how deeply grateful I am to the cast and crew for their hard work, dedication, skill and endurance over the past 11 weeks, and for once again bringing a season of Heartstopper to life," she posted on Instagram.
"Season 3 takes Heartstopper into uncharted territory and it presented a range of new challenges for our cast and crew, but everyone did the most incredible job and I am so excited to share what we’ve all been working on."
Heartstopper seasons 1-2 are streaming on Netflix. Season 3 is in production.

Hearststopper star Kit Connor has discussed the upcoming third season of the show, saying fans will find it “more challenging” than before.
The 20-year-old actor, who plays Nick Nelson in the LGBTQ+ series, was recently in San Diego for Comic Con. While promoting his upcoming film, The Wild Robot, Kit also discussed Marvel rumours as well as Heartstopper season three.
He told MTV, “The character and the storylines we’re discussing are maturing with the audience to a certain extent.” He went on to say, “We are discussing slightly more nuanced and slightly more difficult topics. And slightly more adult topics.”
However, Kit assured that the show would maintain its characteristic “optimistic and rose-tinted spectacles” approach. The Rocket Man star added: “I think it’ll be really interesting to see how the audience reacts to the slightly more challenging conversations. It’s not quite as clear if the characters are going to kind of make it out of this as happy as they always are, which is interesting. And I think it’ll be an emotional rollercoaster for the audience.”
Kit’s comments seem in line with everything we’ve heard of season three so far. When the series was confirmed for an October return, Heartstopper creator Alice Oseman teased a “mature” tone referencing Charlie’s (Joe Locke) mental health issues as an example.
Speaking to Rolling Stone UK recently, Joe said that season three is the series’ “strongest” to date. “I think season three is the strongest. We’ve all got better at acting. I think season three is the strongest writing, the strongest everything from everyone,” he said.
A synopsis for the season reads: “Charlie would like to tell Nick that he loves him. Nick also has something important to say to Charlie. As the summer holiday ends and the months race on, the friends begin to realise that the school year will come with both its joys and its challenges. As they learn more about each other and their relationships, plan social events and parties and start thinking about university choices, everyone must learn to lean on those they love when life doesn’t go to plan.”
Kit Connor, Joe Locke, William Gao, Yasmin Finney, Corinna Brown, and Kizzy Edgell are set to return. Tobie Donovan, Leila Khan, Rhea Norwood, and Jenny Walser will also reprise their respective roles. Joining them will be Bridgerton‘s Jonathan Bailey as the Instagram-famous classicist Jack Maddox.
Heartstopper returns on 3 October.

“He’s a familiar; he’s like the assistant to the coven,” Locke told Empire in a recent interview about his character who known in the script as “Teen.”
Locke continued, “Teen is a big fan of witchcraft and witches, so for him to be taken under Agatha Harkness’ wing and form a coven and go down the Witches’ Road is his dream. He’s fanboy-esque, and in his element. Which is very fun — because I was [too]!”
Showrunner Jac Schaeffer teased that “this mysterious goth teen shows up in [Agatha’s] life,” adding, “It’s his idea to travel the Witches’ Road to get her power back. But in order to go on the Road, you’ve got to get a coven together. So how does a witch that no-one’s going to trust get a band of sisters together?”
Locke also told the publication that Schaeffer sent Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige a photo of Witches’ Road to which Feige said, “Oh my God, we’re making The Goonies.”
“That’s what I’d been saying — that we were making this adventure series,” Locke added.
Agatha All Along is also set to star Aubrey Plaza as Rio, Joe Locke, Patti LuPone as Lilia, Sasheer Zamata as Jen K, and Ali Ahn as Alice. Other cast members include Emma Caulfield Ford, Maria Dizzia, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, and Okwui Okpokwasili.
