Opened Up On The Bachelor About Rift With Father
Catherine Giudici Lowe and her father seemed very close before his death. However, that wasn’t always the case. When she was on The Bachelor, she opened up about a difficult upbringing and her father’s mental health struggles.
She told Sean Lowe during their Hometown Date about an incident when she was a teen when her father tried to commit suicide. E! News reported back in 2013 that Catherine Giudici’s mother filed a petition for a temporary restraining order after the incident.
However, Catherine made it clear at the time that she loved her father despite previous struggles and he was going to be included in her wedding to Sean.

“I said a lot of personal things on the show, and I just want to reiterate the fact that he is a part of my life and I love him so much and I’m excited for him to be part of the wedding,” she said in 2013. Her father did walk her down the aisle.
Losing a parent is never easy, even if the relationship was previously strained. Our thoughts are with the Lowe family during this difficult time.
