Xbox game listings updated with GeForce Now cloud gaming option

Recently, it was rumoured that Microsoft and Nvidia may be furthering their cloud gaming partnership with more integrations. Now, an official announcement has arrived, with Microsoft confirming plans to allow users to stream games via GeForce Now (or Boosteroid) straight from the web.
Games with cloud support on the Xbox.com website will now offer users multiple options for streaming straight from the browser. You can continue to use Xbox Cloud Gaming if you have a Game Pass Ultimate subscription. However, a new button also allows you to select other services, including GeForce Now and Boosteroid. Both of these services are already guarenteed all future Xbox first-party games, including those from Activision Blizzard.

The previous ‘Xbox Cloud Gaming' button has now been replaced on Xbox game listings with a new “play with cloud' button, which when selected, presents a drop down menu with your cloud service options. You will of course need an Nvidia GeForce Now or Boosteroid account set up already to use either service.
GeForce Now can run on Xbox consoles already via the Edge browser app. Perhaps at some point, Xbox consoles will get their own GeForce Now app, allowing users to also access their PC game libraries.

KitGuru Says: While Xbox Cloud Gaming can be decent depending on your area, the current consensus is that GeForce Now offers better quality streams. That is doubly true if you are subscribed to the GeForce Now RTX 4080 tier. The post Xbox game listings updated with GeForce Now cloud gaming option first appeared on KitGuru.
