Donald Trump has thrown social media users for a loop after he said a drawing of Kamala Harris on a TIME Magazine cover resembles his wife, Melania Trump.

Donald Trump Says Kamala Harris Is Beautiful & Compares To Melania Trump
According to The Independent, Trump sat down for an interview with Elon Musk, the owner of X and CEO of Tesla, for an interview streamed via X Spaces on Monday, August 12.
The outlet notes that the pair’s conversation lasted about two hours amid technical difficulties. Furthermore, amid their exchange, Trump reportedly referred to his election rival as “terrible” and someone who is “getting a free ride.”
“I saw a picture of her on Time Magazine today. She looks like the most beautiful actress ever to live,” Trump told Musk. “It was a drawing.”
As he went on, Trump said Harris “looked very much like” his wife, Melania.
“She didn’t look like Camilla,” he continued, “Of course, she’s a beautiful woman and we’ll leave it at that.”
According to the outlet, Trump appeared to be “purposely butchering” Harris’ name amid his comments.

Kamala Harris Campaign Reacts To Donald Trump’s Sitdown With Elon Musk
After the interview, the Harris campaign took to X to share a statement with the group’s reaction. The campaign made light of Trump and Musk’s sitdown while calling them “self-obsessed rich guys” who “cannot run a livestream” in 2024 — oop!
“Donald Trump’s extremism and dangerous Project 2025 agenda is a feature not a glitch of his campaign, which was on full display for those unlucky enough to listen in tonight during whatever that was on X.com,” the statement reads. “Trump’s entire campaign is in service of people like Elon Musk and himself — self-obsessed rich guys who will sell out the middle class and who cannot run a livestream in the year 2024.”

Meanwhile, an hour later, Musk returned to his X feed to share that he would be “happy” to sit down for an interview with Harris on Spaces.
