Fire Damages Home, Displaces Residents In East Windsor
EAST WINDSOR, NJ – A fire engulfed a home in East Windsor Monday afternoon, damaging the structure and displacing residents, East Windsor police said. There were no reported injuries to residents, police, or fire personnel, authorities said. On Monday, around 2:06 p.m., officers from East Windsor Police Department responded to a reported structure fire at 667 Ithaca Place. On arrival, police found the residence was filled with smoke and the occupants of the adjacent homes were evacuated. East Windsor Volunteer Fire Station 42 and 46, along with firefighters from Monrow, Plainsboro, Hightstown, Robbinsville and Millstone responded and extinguished the blaze. The house sustained fire and/or water damage and was deemed uninhabitable. At this time, the cause of the fire is believed to be non-suspicious, police said.
