Who are Nicole Brown Simpson’s sisters? Meet the family of the late ex-wife of O.J. Simpson

NICOLE Brown Simpson was brutally murdered alongside her friend Ron Goldman on June 12, 1994.
Her sisters have since been outspoken about her tragic death and the dangers of domestic violence.

Who are Nicole Brown Simpson’s sisters?
On June 12, 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson, 35, was stabbed to death alongside her friend Ron Goldman, 25, in Los Angeles, California.
Nicole’s ex-husband, former NFL player O.J. Simpson, was acquitted of their murders following a 1995 criminal trial.
However, he was later found liable for their wrongful deaths in a 1997 civil lawsuit, per CBS News.
Following Nicole’s tragic death, the years of domestic abuse she endured came to light.
O.J. died from prostate cancer at age 76 on April 10, 2024.
Nicole’s sisters Denise, Dominique, and Tanya Brown have repeatedly spoken out over the years.
According to People, the women were mainly raised in Orange County, California, after the Brown family left Germany when Nicole and Denise — who were both born in the European country — were young.
“We had horses, and loved horseback riding, riding horses, and all that. We always had a great time,” Denise told the publication.
The sisters have since strengthened national awareness of domestic violence, “including helping make sweeping changes to laws,” per the outlet.
“Unfortunately, it took my sister, my sister’s life, to pass the Violence Against Women Act. And that was back in 1995,” Denise said.
Here is more on the Brown sisters:

Denise Brown is the eldest of the four Brown sisters.
She was born in Frankfurt, Germany, on July 29, 1957, two years before Nicole’s May 19, 1959 birth.
Per People, Denise and Nicole spent the early part of their childhoods in Europe with their German mother, Juditha, and their American father, Louis, before the family relocated to the US.
As the publication reported, Denise “lobbied for the Violence Against Women Act, urging senators for increased funding.”
Following her testimony to the US Senate Appropriations Committee, part of the bill’s funding was increased from $18 million to $32 million, per Denise’s bio on AAE Speakers.
She also spoke on the subject at universities, prisons, and churches.
Dominique Brown

Dominique Brown was born in the US following the Brown family’s move from Germany.
Per People, she was protective of Nicole’s two kids following their mother’s murder.
Nicole’s daughter, Sydney, was just 8 years old at the time, while her son, Justin, was only 5.
“They lost their mother, and it was everywhere in the world,” Dominique told the outlet.
“I knew that was the role I was supposed to undertake. There was Denise’s son, my son, Sydney and Justin. We played together, ate together, went to the beach together—everything together. It was to help them heal and do things that were fun,” she continued, regarding how she protected the children from the tragic and chaotic situation.
While Dominique, Denise, and Tanya “have not stayed in close touch with Sydney and Justin in the years since, the sisters believe Nicole would have been incredibly proud of them and their own families,” People stated.
“I see so much pride in their families just like [Nicole] had in her children. I see that with the kids now with their own,” Dominique said.

Like Dominique, Tanya was born in the US after the Brown family left Germany.
She has been vocal about domestic violence and mental health.
Per her website, Tanya revealed that living through OJ’s trial “caused me to develop unhealthy coping mechanisms, such as shutting down my feelings to get by.”
She continued, “I was unaware of mental illness, I didn’t deal with stress, grief, and codependence in healthy ways.
“These self-sabotaging behaviors caught up to me when I attempted suicide in 2004. It’s not that I wanted to die, I just wanted the pain to stop. I was suicidal, exhausted from unresolved pain, grief, anxiety, stress, and couldn’t see a way out.
“In the recovery hospital, I discovered how to manage my thoughts. I was taught self-care tools that helped me. It made all the difference in the world and put me on a path to learn all I could about psychology.
“In the mental health industry, there’s a lot of studies, statistics, and reports, but not much being said about the ‘how to prevent’ mental health issues.”
Tanya is a “self-care advocate” who earned her master’s degree in psychology counseling “so I can equip you with the tools to optimize your mental health and well-being.”
She continues on her website, “No one should suffer without having access to the life-giving self-care tools to transform your life from chaos into peace.”
On March 15, 2014, she published her book, Finding Peace Amid The Chaos: My Escape from Depression and Suicide.
How can I watch the Lifetime docuseries about Nicole Brown Simpson?
The four-part Lifetime docuseries about Nicole, The Life and Murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, will debut on June 1, 2024, and June 2 at 8 pm ET/PT, per The Hollywood Reporter.
“There are 50 interviews that we did for this series, and for the 50 that agreed, we reached out to countless others to interview and try to build as comprehensive and dynamic a story as possible,” Jesse Daniels, an executive producer of the television program, told the outlet.”
In addition to Denise, Dominique, and Tanya, Nicole’s friends Kris Jenner, Faye Resnick, and Kato Kaelin will be featured in the docuseries that will air nearly 30 years following Nicole’s death.
Through the TV program, Nicole’s sisters “hope to provide a more personal view of Nicole,” per People.
“She’s not a dead body covered with a white sheet at the bottom of the stairs. That’s not Nicole. We want people to see this beautiful human being,” Tanya told the publication.
