More Details On The $190K Lawsuit Reportedly Filed Against Justin Combs
According to In Touch Weekly, court documents asserted that Porsche Leasing LTD reportedly served Combs with a lawsuit demanding payment of $190,226.25 on June 11. The suit was reportedly served at Diddy’s mansion in Beverly Hills, California.
Furthermore, the suit reportedly demanded Combs pay “$172,000 in missed payments on a 2022 Bentley Bentayga V8” and an extra $13,000 interest fee.
The suit asserted that Combs leased the Bentley in January 2022. At the time, he allegedly agreed to make 42 payments for the car. The amount of each payment was reportedly $3,365.23.
Per the suit, Combs allegedly defaulted on the deal in December 2023. He had allegedly failed to make a payment, which was due on December 20, 2023. Since the default allegedly occurred, Porsche demanded the entire amount of the car be paid. Additionally, the company noted their right to take back the vehicle.
“Therefore, there is now due, owing and unpaid from the Defendant the approximate sum of $172,601.43, plus additional charges pursuant to the terms of the Agreement. Interest accrues from December 20, 2023, at the legal rate of 10% per annum, until paid in full,” the lawsuit reportedly asserted.
An Attorney Speaks Out
Earlier this week, Porsche Leasing LTD reportedly requested that the court “grant a default judgment” against Combs for the unpaid amount.
In turn, it was reportedly discovered that Combs allegedly missed his payments “because the bill was sent to an older address.”
“Due to an address change, Justin did not receive his bill, which resulted in unintentionally missed payments. We are in touch with the creditor, and the matter is being settled. The outstanding balance will be paid, and the lawsuit will be dropped,” Combs’ attorney, Jeffrey Lichtman, reportedly told In Touch Weekly.
Per the outlet, Combs is taking “immediate action” to pay the outstanding amount. Additionally, an attorney for Porsche Leasing LTD has reportedly confirmed that Combs and the company are “in the process” of resolving the lawsuit.
