Stormwater Improvements, Paving Start In Middletown Twp.
MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, PA —Stormwater improvements and paving will begin this week on two township roads, causing lane closures for drivers, PennDOT said.The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said that stormwater improvements are planned on several state highways in Bucks and Chester counties under a $14.9 million project to upgrade stormwater management facilities on more than 90 state highways across the five-county Philadelphia region.Motorists are advised of the following lane restrictions:Monday, June 24, through Friday, June 28, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a lane closure is scheduled on Highland Avenue between Avenue F and Hulmeville Road in Middletown Township for paving.Monday, June 24, through mid-July, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a weekday lane closure is scheduled in both directions on Route 213 (Old Lincoln Highway/Maple Avenue) between Woodbourne Road and Wheeler Way in Middletown Township for stormwater replacement.Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur.
