GALLERY: Anglers tough it out on Lake Erie for Day 2
ERIE, Pa. – The waters of Presque Isle Bay proved bountiful for all four teams that took the water during Elimination Match 2 at B&W Trailer Hitches Challenge Cup Presented by Toyota, the first event of the fall edition of the 2024 General Tire Team Series Presented by Bass Pro Shops. Dean Rojas and Michael Neal of Team Builders FirstSource boated 38 bass for 58 pounds, 1 ounce, while Mark Daniels Jr. and Adrian Avena of Team 7 Brew Coffee racked up 42-6 on 27 largemouth (not to mention a 26-pound carp).
And yet, the other two tandems on the water Monday — Team U.S. Air Force (Stephen Browning and Anthony Gagliardi) and Team B&W Trailer Hitches (Matt Becker and Spencer Shuffield) — set such a blistering pace that both tandems fell short of the cut line, as it took a whopping 88 pounds to advance to the Knockout Round.
