First Look Trailer of ‘Wednesday’ Season 2 Demolishes a Huge Season 1 Theory About the Addams Family

A fresh first look on the behind-the-scenes of Netflix’s Wednesday just recently dropped and one exciting detail reveals Pugsley Addams finally becoming a student at Nevermore Academy. His joining the team this time has already debunked one curious theory that many fans might have had in Season 1.

Only students with supernatural abilities are enrolled at the said school, so it seems highly likely that the youngest Addams has discovered his superpowers. He was only shown in the trailer for a split second, but it was enough to confirm that he is not a normie after all.
Pugsley Addams is Finally Attending the School for Outcasts
Isaac Ordonez officially wears the Nevermore Academy uniform as his character Pugsley Addams joins his sister Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams in Season 2. Netflix unveiled a video clip that gave fans a glimpse into what to expect from the much-anticipated sequel.

Ordonez was seen in his purple and black ensemble holding a clapperboard in front of the school. He was also seen standing beside his family in front of a car.
In Season 1, fans rarely saw Pugsley in Nevermore Academy as he was still attending a normie school. When Wednesday began experiencing psychic visions, it was confirmed that she was finally discovering her natural talents and, with the help of the teachers at the academy, she was able to harness and control those abilities.

While the teaser clip did not reveal Pugsley’s supernatural gifts, the second season will hopefully explore this part, along with his dynamics with Wednesday now that they are attending the same school.
Pugsley’s arrival at the academy will also attempt to fill in the void that Percy Hynes-White’s Xavier Thorpe left, as the actor seemingly won’t return to the franchise. The character is expected to make new friends in school, which hints that lesser-known characters from the first season might get the spotlight this time.

The show has not fully shown the entire Addams family’s dynamics given that Wednesday’s parents spent most of their time in their mansion. She only had interactions with Goody Addams and Uncle Fester in Season 1.

Hopefully, Season 2 will show the two Addams children more of their family’s history at Nevermore Academy and possibly unearth a shocking secret.
Isaac Ordonez on Playing Pugsley Addams

Playing a well-known character can be tough, but Isaac Ordonez got past the anxiety after learning more about Pugsley Addams.
In his interview with Sweety High, he felt proud to be able to put his own spin on the role. “I felt that in this version of The Addams Family, Pugsley was the odd one out of an odd family,” the 15-year-old actor said, adding that he is more vulnerable to emotions unlike the rest of his family.
There is no specific release date for Wednesday Season 2 yet, but the show is expected to arrive in 2025.
Wednesday is currently available to watch on Netflix.
