A slight northerly breeze

It was a glorious morning, with a slight northerly breeze keeping the heat off at first.
These were blowing exactly on a north-south axis:
The early wild roses are appearing. Eat your heart out, Chelsea, but nothing is better than these:
And warblers were everywhere, but if you can see the sedge warbler that was somewhere in this patch when I took the picture, you're doing better than me. I saw other warblers today, but never a sedge:
And I'm not complaining.
For the record, the best bird of the day was a common sandpiper, although they're all good.
