In the wake of PT Usha's comments regarding Vinesh Phogat's recent performance, Paris Olympics gold medallist Rei Higuchi has stepped forward to emphasise the comprehensive requirements that wrestlers need to excel in the sport. In a recent statement, Higuchi outlined the key elements contributing to a wrestler’s success. He stated, "Wrestling involves strength, physicality, technique, mentality, nutrition, weight management, rest, sleep, video analysis, and maintaining a balance in all these training areas, along with the guidance of a knowledgeable and trustworthy coach."
