Michigan commits were back on the field this weekend.
With the high school football season now underway, future Wolverines are doing their best to impress on Friday nights. Here is a quick look at how they performed.
QB Carter Smith, Fort Myers (Fla.) Bishop Verot
The Skinny: Smith completed 13-of-18 passes for 144 yards and two touchdowns and added 33 yards and two more scores on the ground in Bishop Verot’s 48-34 win over Tampa (Fla.) Jesuit.

QB Brady Hart, Cocoa (Fla.) High (2026)
The Skinny: Hart completed 15-of-18 passes for 270 yards and three touchdowns in Cocoa’s 42-10 blowout win over Titusville (Fla.) High.

RB Donovan Johnson, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
The Skinny: There were no official stats from the contest, but I was told Johnson rushed for around 40 yards on limited carries in his first game back in more than a year — Johnson suffered a torn ACL last spring. IMG fell to Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon, 35-34.

TE Andrew Olesh, Center Valley (Pa.) Southern Lehigh
The Skinny: Olesh logged 125 yards receiving and a touchdown in Southern Lehigh’s 31-13 win over Quakertown (Pa.) High.

TE Eli Owens, Alcoa (Tenn.) High
The Skinny: Owens recorded seven receptions for 111 yards and also notched 12 tackles on the defensive side of the ball in a 27-17 loss to Brentwood (Tenn.) Ravenwood.

OL Kaden Strayhorn, Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy
The Skinny: Strayhorn and IMG Academy fell to Draper (Utah) Corner Canyon, 35-34.
