Police: Man swiped cash from customer at Attleboro pharmacy
ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — Police are searching for the suspect who snatched several $100 bills from a man who was making a purchase at a pharmacy.
Officers were called to the Walgreens on Pleasant Street Monday afternoon. Police said the victim had placed the cash on the counter and was counting them when a man ran up and swiped them.
The suspect ran out of the store with the cash and was last seen behind the nearby Cumberland Farms toward the U-Haul storage facility. The victim chased the suspect out of the store but lost sight of him.
No one was injured and the suspect did not threaten the victim with a weapon.
The suspect is described as a Black man with long dreadlocks who appeared to be between the ages of 20 and 30. He was wearing a blue shirt, light-colored pants and a black headwrap.
Police said the suspect was accompanied by a Hispanic man with a dark beard who was wearing a Boston Celtics jersey.
Investigators believe the men pulled up to the pharmacy in a silver or gray Honda sedan
Anyone who can identify the man or his suspected accomplice is asked to contact the Attleboro Police Department Detective Division at (509) 222-1212.
