“Seeing bugs like these can’t wait for GTA 6…”: Unreal Engine 5’s Most Ambitious Game Gets Eye-Boggling Trailer So Good You’ll Think You’re Dreaming
GTA 6, one of the most highly anticipated gaming releases, is being powered by Unreal Engine 5. The breadth of its capabilities is endless, with every new update bringing features that let developers push their games beyond anything they were capable of doing before.
However, it’s not a flawless engine. As we look at the trailer for an upcoming UE5-powered game, people can’t help but wonder—what bugs are we going to encounter this time around?
GTA 6 Doesn’t Have Anything on This Trailer About Ants
The upcoming photorealistic game about ants sets expectations for GTA 6‘s look.
Empire of the Ants is an upcoming photorealistic game developed by Tower Five. You’re the Ant Savior, tasked with leading your colony through victory and defending your lands, all on a microscopic level. Explore, strategize, fight, and collaborate your way to victory.
The trailer is an absolute sight to behold and can make your skin crawl if you’re averse to insects. Game previews with mind-blowing graphics are a dime a dozen, but what makes this particularly special is it’s entirely made of in-game footage.
Yes, these aren’t cinematic cutscenes; what you see is what you’re going to get. The game’s photorealistic visuals do no less than make you feel like you’re playing as one of those ants crawling around somewhere in your backyard.

At the State of Unreal 2024 presentation that took place a few months ago, we learned a lot about what the new engine can do and how it’s rapidly advancing games in ways that we previously only dreamed of.
Unreal Engine 5.4 brings in a whole new level of realism, and Empire of the Ants is only the start of a lot more exciting things to come. Uncanny realism will soon turn into immaculate hyper-realistic visuals, taking the word ‘immersion‘ to a whole new level.
Unreal Engine Isn’t Flawless, As We’ve Previously Seen
With the engine pushing graphical capabilities by a lot, we’re bound to see some hilarious bugs.
Bugs are a part of any game. No, not the ants we were talking about earlier, but technical bugs. As we wait for GTA 6, it’s important to remember that even an ambitious title like that will have its fair share of problems.

So, before wishing for every game to be ported to Unreal Engine, take a look at what people experienced in Red Dead Redemption 2 as a taste of what’s to come.

It isn’t game-breaking but quite hilarious to see (unless it happened during a critical moment, then rage is warranted).
That new Unreal Engine is showing some promise. I just hope I don't need a fire extinguisher on standby.— Zeldas Champion (@ChampionZeldas) June 14, 2024
Although, putting what we saw at State of Unreal 2024 and the Empire of the Ants trailer together, if the upcoming GTA release matches or tops that, then I can look past a few visual bugs. If it’s anything like the upcoming Matrix game, we can expect something truly mesmerizing.
So long as my device doesn’t set on fire, that is, which seems to be a lot of people’s concerns.
