Bloomington Woman Arrested in Loma Linda for Suspected Drug Possession with Intent to Sell
A routine traffic stop on Friday night led to the arrest of a Bloomington woman in Loma Linda, for possession of a controlled substance purportedly intended for sale. San Bernardino County Sheriff's deputies stopped the vehicle at California Street and Barton Road at 9:43 p.m. for a registration violation. The passenger, 43-year-old Patricia Viveros-Vargas displayed behavior indicative of stimulant influence, sparking a subsequent search that unearthed a substantial cache of suspect methamphetamine, as reported by the SBSD - Central.
According to the sheriff's report, Viveros-Vargas had approximately 219 grams of the substance in her purse alongside a scale and cash amounts, that, are commonly associated with narcotics sales. The discovery resulted in her being booked into the Central Detention Center. The suspect's unregistered vehicle initially caught the officers' attention, leading to the unexpected drug bust.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner’s Department outlined the details of the encounter in a public release, noting that Viveros-Vargas was taken into custody without further issues.
