Hitler-quoting Moms for Liberty leader is running for governor of Indiana

In May, Moms for Liberty’s co-founder Bridget Ziegler and her husband, Christian Ziegler, were investigated by the police for recording sexual encounters with other women without the women’s knowledge or permission. The couple would arrange these bisexual threesomes even though Ziegler helped push for and author anti-LGBTQ+ legislation such as Florida’s infamous “Don’t Say Gay” bill.
GLAAD has labeled Moms for Liberty as an “anti-LGBTQ extremist group” that “promotes harmful and inaccurate ‘groomer’ rhetoric” and “has included calls for book bans, classroom censorship, and bans on teaching about slavery, race, racism, and LGBTQ people and history.“
She announced her candidacy announced during a Facebook Live stream.
“I don’t belong to a party,” Miller said. “I belong to Jesus Christ. And the one thing that I will tell you about our team is we’ve never been about the title.”
“God keeps giving me different directions and things that he wants me to do,” she said.
“There’s kind of a joke about the fact that I’d like to go scuba diving eventually, and that was my plan after I retired from teaching in 2020, and it’s yet to happen.”
Miller worked as an elementary school teacher in Carmel, Indiana for over 30 years. She is running alongside Jamie Reitenour. Reitenour was a Republican gubernatorial candidate but placed second to last during the primaries in May, getting only 4.9 percent of the vote.
Their campaign website says that “social topics, critical race theory, and sexual orientation and gender identity issues have no place in the classroom” and that there is an “extremist pulls toward socialism and Marxism attacking the very foundations of our country.” They also have taken a strong anti-trans stance, stating that “only biological men should play in men’s sports, and only biological women should play in women’s sports.”
According to the Indianapolis Star, the two women must garner 37,000 signatures by July 1 to be placed on the November ballot.
