Former Love Island USA Season 7 star Yulissa Escobar is detailing what it was like to be “removed” from the villa. She exited during the second episode, and the show made it seem like she vanished into the night. So, what actually happened? Keep reading for more details.

It was a rough start to Season 7 of Love Island USA as it was discovered that two islanders had off-putting pasts. Yulissa Escobar had used a racial slur while Austin Shepard was in hot water for a similar situation. Fans immediately wanted the duo off their screens and could not wait to vote them off. Austin’s exit would come much later in the season, but Yulissa was not that lucky. Episode 2 aired, and Yulissa was coupled up with Ace Greene. No sooner did the show begin than she was mysteriously gone, leaving Ace single. No one addressed Yulissa’s whereabouts, and viewers made up scenarios about what happened.

They believed she was awoken in the middle of the night and escorted out. As it turns out, that was not the case, and she is clearing up any misinformation. She made a video and explained she was not dragged out in the early hours but rather had started her morning with Ace. He cooked her breakfast when production came and pulled her aside. Yulissa assumed it was for a confessional, but she was asked to remove her mic, thinking the worst had happened back home. She then learned that something had resurfaced and it was not good.
Yulissa then left the villa, and the Love Island USA alum was sent to a hotel. Without a phone, she had no idea what the backlash was about. She was shocked that anyone would think that she was racist despite having used a slur. Admittedly, Yulissa wished she could take back that moment in time, but she cannot. So, she is living with the repercussions of what happened. Sadly, Yulissa has been receiving death threats.

After Yulissa Escobar shared what really happened on Love Island USA, her fans and followers had a lot to say. Currently, Cierra Ortega is embroiled in a slur scandal. Therefore, many feel that Yulissa should take legal action if Cierra is not removed. However, others shared they did not even realise Yulissa had left:

The show is still trying to decide what to do with Cierra, and if she needs to leave the villa. Her fan base has dropped, and no one is happy to have her around anymore. Regardless, Yulissa Escobar has cleared the air over her exit, and how it was not that dramatic.
