GALLERY: Anglers find their footing on Chautauqua Lake during Knockout Round’s second day
ERIE, Pa. – A combination of persistence, patience and trial and error proved key to unlocking Chautauqua Lake during the second morning of the Knockout Round at B&W Trailer Hitches Challenge Cup Presented by Toyota, the first event of the fall edition of the 2024 General Tire Team Series Presented by Bass Pro Shops.
The morning bite was slow for the batch of anglers on Wednesday, and Thursday proved to be more of the same for everyone — except Matt Becker and Spencer Shuffield of Team B&W Trailer Hitches, who raced out to a commanding lead. Luke Clausen and John Hunter of Team Smokey Mountain Herbal Snuff & Pouches got on the juice in Period 2, while Drew Gill and Matt Stefan were still working to find their own honey hole.
