Kelly Clarkson is celebrating where she's at in life.

The Grammy winner, 43, performed at Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Saturday, May 10 and filled the venue with her powerhouse vocals and relatable, charming personality as she sang hits from "Since U Been Gone" to the brand-new "Where Have You Been."

At one point in the show, Clarkson chatted with an audience member who excitedly praised her "sexy" appearance. She appreciated the compliment, especially in the wake of her recent weight loss — but joked about struggling to admire others' looks aloud on the set of her NBC talk show.

"Every time I go to an HR meeting, I'm like, 'How have I not been fired?' I grew up on the road at 19 years old, you know what I'm saying? I'm like, 'Oh, that is inappropriate. I would never,'" quipped the "Because of You" musician, who's spoken openly about using prescription medication for weight loss.

"But they also say you're not allowed to say someone looks attractive, and I say f--- that," exclaimed Clarkson. "Because some of those bitches are out here working, and we're trying, and I want every motherf----- that passes me to go, 'Damn. Well done.'"

She recalled "nearly getting in a fight" with an HR representative over the topic. "They were like, 'Well, it might make people feel bad that they looked bad before.' I was fat before, so I'm saying I want you to say, 'Damn.'"

Clarkson went on to clarify there's "nothing wrong" with anyone's bodies, noting that she "felt very confident" at a higher weight. "I felt fine both ways, but I'm just saying it's a lot more fun with clothes now. And I've been working on it."

The American Idol alum thanked the fan for the compliment and joked that she "will not be calling HR" about the interaction.

"It is not a joke. I know HR is not a joke, but it is really funny some of the things they talk about," she added, "and we're like, 'Oh no. We would never.'"

Before launching into "My Life Would Suck Without You" from 2009's All I Ever Wanted album, Clarkson thanked the crowd for coming to the concert.

"We love the talk show, but we usually don't get to do shows because of the schedule, so thank you so much. It's cool. It's only like two hours away from home in New York City," she said.

Other acts coming to Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena for live concerts in the coming months include Heart, Khalid, Queens of the Stone Age, Erykah Badu, Darius Rucker, Sam Hunt and more. See the venue's website for more information.
