India and Zimbabwe are locking horns in the first T20I of the five-match series. The match is taking place at the Harare Sports Club in Harare. Sanju Samson isn't part of the playing XI in the series opener. The wicketkeeper-batsman was named in the original squad for all five T20Is but his name was withdrawn from the first two games.Sanju, along with Shivam Dube and Yashasvi Jaiswal, will join the squad before the third T20I. Team India was stuck in Barbados after the 2024 T20 World Cup final and returned to the country on Thursday (July 4).The BCCI decided that the Zimbabwe-bound players will also return to India and will fly to the African nation later.
