Kraft Heinz unveils new product for first time ever in as fans call surprise move ‘tasty and refreshing’ for summer

THE Kraft Heinz Company has introduced a new product as summer approaches.
While the item isn’t part of its condiment offerings, it does involve an iconic drink brand that’s been around for decades.

According to a press release, Crystal Light, which many American consumers know for its powdered lemonade packets, will be offered as a canned cocktail.
Kraft Heinz revealed the Crystal Light Vodka Refreshers in two “fan-favorite” and classic flavor options of Wild Strawberry and Lemonade.
They’re now on shelves at certain retailers in the Northeast and are offered in a four-pack option for just $9.99.
A continued expansion nationwide with added flavor options and a multi-pack are planned for 2026, per the release.
Not only are the Vodka Refreshers bursting with flavor, but they’re also extremely low-calorie and zero-sugar.
There are only 77 calories per can, and Kraft Heinz noted that they were also a “lighter, low-alcohol” beverage.
Alcohol by volume (ABV) is only 3.8% in each can of the Vodka Refreshers.
Kraft Heinz said it found that around 40% of hard seltzer drinkers nationwide preferred low-alcohol options that “don’t compromise on taste.”
LONG TIME COMING
It also isn’t a complete shock that the company would make the move to have a Crystal Light-based alcoholic beverage in its lineup.
Just over a year ago, Kraft Heinz updated the Crystal Light logo and launched Mixology, Immunity, and Energy lines with the powdered drink packets.
The company acknowledged then that “many Crystal Light consumers already use the product as a mixer.”
That awareness seemingly developed into the Crystal Light Vodka Refreshers, something emphasized by Jeremy Kross, director of beverage mixes at Kraft Heinz.
“With tens of millions of social media videos showcasing creative ways to mix Crystal Light into cocktails, creating a delicious lower-calorie vodka refresher was a natural step for us,” Kross said.
The response has already been mostly positive from customers.
We’re bringing fans a ready-to-drink version in a new format — now with a light, refreshing twist — offering the same signature flavors they know and love.

SUMMER LOVIN’
“Need to find this summer!” an excited Crystal Light fan wrote in a thread on Facebook about the product launch.
“We need this in our life,” another wrote.
“I bet these are good!” a third exclaimed.
Someone else said they expected the Vodka Refreshers to be “tasty and refreshing” in the heat.
Other brands like Baileys are also offering new options this month.
The popular liqueur brand has introduced two dairy-free flavors crafted with oat milk.
They include Coffee Toffee and Cookies & Creamy, and Baileys recommends customers enjoy them iced or hot.
It also pairs best with coffee and cocktails.
A lot of new sodas have also been introduced in recent months.
Coca-Cola launched a new healthy offering with five flavors to compete with Poppi.
In January, Pepsi also unveiled a permanent new flavor.
