Japan’s publicly listed bitcoin treasury company, Metaplanet Inc. (Tokyo Stock Exchange: 3350 / OTCQX: MTPLF), has announced the acquisition of an additional 319 bitcoin as part of its ongoing Bitcoin Treasury Operations, increasing its total bitcoin holdings to 4,525 BTC.
The latest purchase was made at an average price of 11,845,786 yen per Bitcoin, resulting in an aggregated amount of 3.779 billion yen. The company’s overall average purchase price for its bitcoin holdings now stands at 12,849,780 yen per bitcoin, with a total investment of 58.145 billion yen. Metaplanet Inc. utilizes BTC Yield as a key performance indicator to evaluate the effectiveness of its bitcoin acquisition strategy, reporting yields of 41.7%, 309.8%, and 95.6% for the periods from July 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, respectively. As of April 14, 2025, the company’s BTC Yield for the current quarter is 6.5%.
