“Sorry for the instability. We’ll do better”: Helldivers 2’s CEO Attempts To Placate the Masses Over Terrible Performance and Promises Fixes ASAP
Helldivers 2 is an ambitious live service game and it appears that the developers over at Arrowhead Game Studios bit more than they could chew after the recent major update. Performance issues and inconsistencies are not uncommon but have become more prevalent since then.
Working on a live service game can take a toll on the developers and the game’s current state is far from ideal. The new CEO of the studio, Shams Jorjani, responded to these complaints and apologized, promising to remedy the situation as fast as possible.
The Latest Helldivers 2 Patch Broke More Than It Fixed
The gaming community is asking the developers for a better Helldivers 2 patch.
Performance issues on the PC side of things have become worse since the update and many more have complained about the system errors and crashes of Helldivers 2. It has become a trend or running gag at this point when the developers release a new patch, something else will either malfunction or stop working as intended.
technical quality will be a big focus next. sorry for the instability. We'll do better.— Shams Jorjani (@ShamsJorjani) June 22, 2024
Jorjani acted swiftly and assured the gaming community that this would all be rectified soon. It can be upsetting to see a great game be plagued with problems that could have been solved beforehand, the developers are spread too thin and are most likely running on fumes to keep up with the demands of the community and fixing more pressing problems.

The update caused more harm than good. Players noticed the insane amount of throwing knives that can be carried on their person is probably not a feature the developers had in mind. Perhaps the developers underestimated the content they worked on for the latest patch.
The players are suffering rather than enjoying and it is high time for Jorjani to shift the team’s focus on server stability and performance on both the PC and PlayStation 5 platforms before the player count starts dwindling in cosmic proportions.
Helldivers 2 Players Just Can’t Catch a Break
There is still hope for a future with stability in Helldivers 2.
Live service games and problems are an inseparable package deal and the gaming community fails to recognize that after all these years. Oversight and constant support from the developers will remain the same and never go away to remove these problems before another takes its place and the fans need to be patient and bear with them.

Jorjani is optimistic that the studio will deliver in the following major update and give the fans the game they deserve. It can’t be easy working on a successful project with a high player base plagued with issues, Arrowhead Game Studios struck gold with this game and will not drop the ball in the future.
The gaming community will likely feel discouraged to play a buggy mess and this will affect the studio negatively and could be the start of its downfall. The developers need to suck it in and get to work and make the best game possible.
Johan Pilestedt envisioned this project to be the best live service game experience possible and these problems are making it hard to make that happen. Players will whine about anything but this is valid and Jorjani understands their side.
