McNutt also shared a clip from First Take with Molly QerimESPN
McNutt looked elegant in a full length yellow dress alongside host Molly Qerim.
They were also joined by Udonis Haslem, who sat in for the absent Stephen A. Smith.
And Kimberley A. Martin was also part of the First Take crew along with Damien Woody.
McNutt also shared a clip from the show where she struck a pose after “holding it down.”
Fans loved seeing her back on First Take after a short absence and a feud with Smith.
One commented, “Monica is a star in the making – do y’all notice how she flaunts all the time?”
Another posted, “I love Monica so much.”
A third wrote, “Did anyone notice how much fun was had on first take without Stephen A. smith present?”
McNutt had a falling out with Smith on air a few weeks back which led to some apparent tension.
The female star told Smith “respectfully” he could’ve used his platform to promote women’s basketball “three years ago.”
“Who talks more about the WNBA, who talks about women’s sports more than First Take?” Stephen A. Smith questioned.
“Stephen A., respectfully, with your platform, you could have been doing this three years ago if you wanted to,” McNutt retorted.
She went missing from First Take for a period after the disagreement.
But McNutt reassured her fans that there was no reason to be concerned.
She posted, “Me, First Take and Stephen A. Smith all good.
'Who talks more about the WNBA?'
Stephen A. Smith had a run in with Monica McNutt on First Take about women's basketball this week.
Smith said that he didn’t like how he needed to “watch every syllable” when talking about the WNBA, but McNutt wasn’t happy with his statement.
“Welcome to the world of being a woman, Stephen A,” she said.
“How you have to dance about your word choice and how you have to please everybody and anybody as you navigate your being.”
Stephen A. gave a comment that really fired McNutt up.
“Who talks more about the WNBA, who talks about women’s sports more than First Take?” Stephen A. said.
McNutt clearly was irked by his question and set the record straight on live TV.
“Stephen A., respectfully, with your platform, you could have been doing this three years ago if you wanted to,” McNutt said.
Molly Qerim and Shannon Sharpe both looked stunned, and Qerim tried to get the show to a commercial break, but the awkward moment continued.
After Stephen A. muttered “wow,” McNutt gave him a reassurance that she thinks he could have done more.
“You’re my guy,” McNutt said.
“But I’m talking to you.”
“You’re my girl,” Smith replied.
“But you’ve missed a lot of episodes of First Take.”
“I’m on the road covering finals as previously scheduled, but squeezing in a couple dope opps, will share soon.”
McNutt then appeared on The Daily Show for an interview with Jon Stewart.
She added, “My point is that this narrative that it’s the league vs. Caitlin Clark is just absolutely false.
“It’s unfair to the women who have been there building this league to this moment so Caitlin Clark’s popularity can take it to the next level.
“By the end of the [First Take] broadcast, the tone had changed.
“I needed to put my foot down a little bit.”
