Among the conspiracy theories that have circulated since the assassination attempt on Donald Trump on June 13, perhaps the wildest was the FBI assistant director Janeen DiGuiseppi sitting behind Trump in crowd and giving instruction to the crowd.A photo has gone viral which shows a woman sitting behind Trump, who some netizens claim is the assistant director of the FBI. They claim that she was sitting in the crowd behind the former president and giving instruction to the shooter. The conspiracy theory comes amidst a host of allegations against the FBI and the Secret Service about the lapses in security being intentional. However, this particular conspiracy theory has been debunked by both the Democrats and the Republicans. The men and women of the FBI work tirelessly and selflessly to protect others every day, and false rumors and conspiracy theories targeting these dedicated public servants are reprehensible and irresponsible."They are also dangerous and often lead to threats against them and their families. The FBI will continue to work with our partners to hold accountable anyone who makes violent threats against them or any of our colleagues in law enforcement.”DiGuiseppi is serving as the Assistant Director of the Insider Threat Office at FBI Headquarters in Washington, DC.
