These Hinsdale Streets To Be Repaved

HINSDALE, IL – Hinsdale is poised to resurface eight streets around town later this year. The low bidder for the work was Schaumburg-based A Lamp Contractors, at $1.4 million. Seven companies bid on the work. The highest was from Cicero-based M&J Asphalt, at $1.7 million. The village engineer's estimate for the work was $33,000 more than the highest bid. Here are the streets that the village plans to resurface: Adams Street, from Eighth Street to south endBirchwood Avenue, from west end to east endFirst Street, Garfield to Park avenuesFourth Street, Lincoln Street to Garfield AvenueGrant Street, 55th to 57th streetsMonroe Street, from North to Walnut streetsNinth Street, from Bruner Street to east endPark Avenue, from Chicago Avenue to First StreetThe village said projects near schools will take place after school lets out for the summer. According to a memo, Hinsdale has had a satisfactory experience with A Lamp Contractors, most recently with the 2017 resurfacing program.
