While it will be handy when it comes to staying dry, it also helps users stay safe amid hazardous weather conditions which include heatwaves and storms.
Apple offers iPhone users the option to turn on weather notifications.
With just a few simple taps, users can go about their days knowing that whatever the weather has in store, they will be prepared for it.
First, users must go to settings where they will find the privacy and security tab indicated by a blue icon with a white hand in the middle.
This will take them to location services which when clicked on will come up with the Weather option.
Select this and there will be a list of options where users can decide when they want to authorize location access for the weather app.
By tapping ‘always’ users will get the most accurate weather forecasts for where they are.
Then, to set up notifications to stay up to date with last-minute forecast changes, open the weather app and tap the icon in the bottom right-hand corner.
It looks like three vertical dots with three horizontal lines coming from each of them.
This will display the weather list for the locations you have previously set up.
Then, by clicking the icon in the top right-hand corner that looks like three horizontal dots, you can allow notifications for the weather app.
Underneath Current Location, you will be able to turn on notifications for severe rather and next-hour precipitation.
If the toggle turns green this means you have turned them on.
However, it should be noted that Apple Support warns users that weather notifications are not available in all countries or regions.
Meanwhile, Google has listed the five clues that suggest your phone is struggling in the summer heat.

Move apps around faster – Hold an app until it starts wiggling, then (while still holding) tap other apps, causing them to stack so you can move them around easier
Android users have been told to look out for one key error with the camera that is a sure sign of overheating.
If the flash stops working, your phone is likely too hot.
Similarly, if the camera stops working it is because your device is trying to cool down.
“To help prevent your phone getting too hot, keep it out of direct sunlight,” Google explained.
“If your phone’s temperature continues to rise, it could show a warning and turn off.
“The phone turns off to keep you and your phone safe. If your phone turns off, let it cool down and restart it.”
