WORCESTER, Mass. -- The attention of the Red Sox farm system constantly swirls around Marcelo Mayer, Roman Anthony and Kyle Teel.
That only continued when the trio earned a group promotion to Triple-A Worcester. With their move to the next level, who will step up behind them as a rising talent in the system, particularly with Double-A Portland?
On that note, one position player just keeps dominating opponents. The "Big Three" recognized that and properly identified the talent Kristian Campbell represents in the Red Sox organization.
"We call him Barry Bonds just because of how good of a hitter he is," Anthony said. "He's a great player. He's a freak athlete. Plays the game the right way. He's a great person on and off the field. It's rare that you get a guy like that that can play so many positions and play at the level that he plays at while putting up the numbers that he's put up."

Anthony continued: "Credit to him. He came in and it was kind of a new style of hitting from what he came from at Georgia Tech. He was willing to learn. He grinded all offseason. He was there every day in Florida when we were there. Every day at spring training. He's constantly grinding early every day. It's not by accident. We're hoping to see him here soon because he's a stud."
"It's super impressive," Mayer said. "I'm a fan watching him. He's just such a unique player and so athletic. He's able to do everything at such a high level. It's super impressive to watch."
Campbell spoke exclusively with NESN.com back in July about his quick rise in the Red Sox system.
Mayer's right, too. Campbell's certainly playing like a prospect deserving of another promotion soo. Ultimately, that's up to the Red Sox to decide.
